Mr. Big Shot is headed to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Congratulations to PBLA's own Chauncey Billups, known for his exceptional leadership, playmaking, and clutch shooting. Billups was a key contributor to the Detroit Pistons' 2004 NBA championship team and is a five-time NBA All-Star and a Finals MVP. Billups is passionate about helping young people reach their full potential, and the PBLA is a testament to his commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Sooper Credit Union
Sooper Credit Union regularly gives back to the communities their members call home, especially when there is a direct impact on youth. The credit union is pleased to announce a $50,000 donation to the Porter-Billups Leadership Academy at Regis University, a program they have supported since 2012.

We had an awesome day at the 17th Annual Bones & Bogeys Charity Golf Tournament sponsored by Panorama Orthopedics on June 29, 2022. For 5 years now the proceeds from the golf tournament have benefitted the Porter Billups Leadership Academy. Thank you for your generous donations and support of PBLA!
BK hosts trip to LA Recording Studio
Brian Kennedy is more than a producer. From the moment he stepped on to Regis University campus, he began investing time into our students. He and his colleagues and best friends Davix Foreman and Philip.Ramsay shared their stories with our students. They were an inspiration through their lives and shared impactful lessons they had learned along the way about friendship, success, failures and perseverance. After letting the students get to know them, BK and his team spent an entire day digging in and going deep allowing the students to share their stories. The team and students worked side by side using their individual talents to begin creating lyrics, art pieces and finally laid their first collaborative music track with some of our talented PBLA voices.
After realizing the potential in talent, BK invited two of our PBLA students to his recording studio in LA for a once in a lifetime experience to record the collaborative track and even expand their original music. They spent two full days under the tutelage and expertise of these incredible artists. Come experience the talent of BK, his wife Angelique, Sarah as well as the collaboration of music with our students at the 2022 Gala on October 1.
